ANAEROBIC DIGESTION - HOW IT WORKS
Anaerobic digestion is a series of biological processes in which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. One of the end products is biogas, which is combusted to generate electricity and heat, or can be processed into renewable natural gas and transportation fuels.
A range of anaerobic digestion technologies are converting livestock manure, municipal wastewater solids, food waste, high strength industrial wastewater and residuals, fats, oils and grease (FOG), and various other organic waste streams into biogas, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Separated digested solids can be composted, utilized for dairy bedding, directly applied to cropland or converted into other products. Nutrients in the liquid stream are used in agriculture as fertilizer. www.americanbiogascouncil.org

Alexander is a highly regarded specialist in the waste to energy sector and is working as a process engineer in this field since 2014. He decided to move from Germany to Australia in 2018, when the waste to energy market has started to evolve in numerous opportunities.
During his working period Alexander has designed, commissioned and operated Bioenergy plants in Germany, Australia and multiple other countries overseas.
Due to his working experience, Alexander has very unique and critical skills, not found elsewhere in Australia. The project development work he has undertaken will pave the way for the adoption of new technology in Australia, enabling food waste to be converted into renewable energy and fertiliser for agriculture.
Best Way to Energy is working together with the German technology provider WELTEC BIOPOWER. Weltec has more than 20+ years of experience in anaerobic digestion plants and has built 350+ plants world-wide. As Weltec is a global company they rely on their local partners to work directly with clients.
